Overview:

We know that coming to the vet with a cat can be a traumatic experience for both cat and owner! Our facility was designed to meet the needs of cats, and make their visits less stressful, by providing a cat-only waiting area as well as a cat-only exam room and hospital ward. We also utilize Feliway diffusers and spray, which mimic the comforting facial pheromones naturally produced by cats to reduce stress.

As members of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, we are actively involved in current initiatives to ensure that every cat receives the health care they need and deserve, in the least stressful manner possible.

American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP)

With their long-standing reputation and track record in the veterinary community, the AAFP has become one of the most trusted memberships for facilitating high standards of feline practice. In an effort to advance the quality of feline medicine, the AAFP has encouraged veterinarians to reevaluate preconceived practice strategies to continuously improve. Through high standards of practice, continuing education, and evidence-based medicine, members will improve the health and welfare of felines and feline medicine. One of the most celebrated and important endeavors that they have developed is the Cat-Friendly Practice program, which provides a better understanding of a cat’s distinct needs and behaviors to hospital locations.

Why is the AAFP Important?

The AAFP continues to promote and support the education of feline practice. Members of the AAFP will be well-educated and able to continue the excellent care for cats at their veterinary practice.
